A Tribute to Mr Ian Dandie

A Tribute to Mr Ian Dandie

It is with sadness that we pay tribute to Mr Dandie who passed away on Christmas Eve at the age of 88.

Ian qualified at Edinburgh University in 1954 and was instrumental in moving the practice from Murray Place to its present location with his then partner Robin Common, in 1964. A former pupil at Dollar Academy and winner of the McGregor Gold Medal as a dental undergraduate he was also an accomplished pilot. As a founder member of the Scottish Gliding Centre at Portmoak Airfield, Kinross he has left a legacy for future generations to enjoy flying.

Mr Dandie retired in 1992.
