Teeth straightening is no longer just for teenagers. New advances in teeth straightening technology techniques, materials and costs, has made this treatment much more mainstream and available to all.
It was once considered that teeth should only be straightened during the teenage years due to growth spurts but we know that teeth can be straightened at any age and often treatment can progress quicker in adults due to increased compliance.
At Platt & Common in Stirling, we are able to use various short term orthodontic systems to straighten your teeth. No longer do we have to crown or veneer your teeth to improve their appearance, thus minimising the treatment required to your teeth.
Teeth straightening can take between 6 weeks and 12 months depending on the alignment system used, the results will definitely leave you smiling.
Most patients who have a mild to moderate crowding or protrusion of their front teeth could well be suitable for treatment with QuickStraightTeeth™.
The total duration of treatment will depend on the complexity of the treatment. Our average treatment time is 1 – 6 months depending on complexity. You will be given an estimation of the total treatment time after your consultation.
As with all other types of Orthodontic treatments, the cost of QuickStraightTeeth™ is dependent on the complexity of your case and the course of treatment provided.
As with all Orthodontic treatments, QuickStraightTeeth™ will take a short space of time for you to adjust to the clear brace. QuickStraightTeeth™ has developed a range of clear braces that reduce discomfort significantly. Our patients have only ever felt minimal discomfort for a couple of days, after which your mouth adjusts to the newness of the appliance. We have had no complaints about any major or long term discomfort.
This will depend on the products used during your treatment. On average patients visit their dentist every two to four weeks. QuickStraightTeeth™ has a range of Q Appliances, all of which have slightly different uses. Each patients case will use different Q Appliances, altering your dentist appointment frequency. You will be told exactly how often you need to attend after your first consultation with your dentist.
You need to wear your aligners (clear braces) at all times during treatment apart from when eating, brushing or flossing teeth. Remember our clear braces will only work if you’re wearing them! Ideally, a patient should wear the Aligner for 20 hours a day, every day. Any less and the treatment could take longer to complete. Remember we want you to achieve results quickly! It is acceptable to remove the appliance for special occasions, such as photographs or important meetings, but they should be replaced as soon as practicably possible.
